Hey there, I'm Jessika Jake! I embody WELCOA's tagline of "Healthy, Happy, High Performing." I am here to help your team claim the next better, and the next... and next. I specialize in facilitating hands on, engaging workshops on the topics such as: value co-creation, purpose-alignment, "escaping ever-stressed mode," coaching for growth and performance, and mindset. I'm honored to have won awards from the American Society for Training and Development and the International Society for Performance Improvement, and I have had the pleasure of teaching & facilitating various STEM and wellness courses throughout the years (and by years, I mean DECADES!) including presenting at the Association of Applied and Therapeutic Humor 2019 conference, training the US Air Force on base in Aviano, Italy, and presenting at the Host Leadership 2019 Gathering in Munich.

I frame most of my coaching around Positive Psychology interventions, connection to core values and purpose, physical health (with emphasis on brain health), & mindset. I adapt my approach based on where you are at and where you see yourself in the future. I hold about a half dozen WELCOA (Wellness Council of America) certifications, as well as Transformation Academy certifications (Life Purpose CoachGoal Achievement CoachGroup Coach, & Employee Performance Coach). I am also a Brain Health Coach (certified by the prestigious Amen University). I weave the art and science of coaching into my workshops and courses.

Perfect is not an option, so I like to focus on educating and inspiring people to get "better and betterer" across the 8 dimensions of wellness. My fave speaking topics these days include: mindset and micro-behavior changes, stress reduction, workplace wellness, Positive Psychology, and alignment of strategy and execution to ensure success across the breadth of wellness goals. I also help solve common company pain points, take on continual improvement initiatives, establish growth-oriented relationships, set guiding principles, and "baking in" the key aspects that lead to cohesive, high-performing teams that deliver value to their org, their clients, their communities, their planet, and themselves.

Holistic View of Wellness

There are different ways to slice up the wellness pie. These days I like looking at 8 slices (the model used by the NIH) because it gives us the most talking points, rather than lumping these together. (Just like helicopters have the ability to get a great holistic view from on high, but also can land on clear and specific targets, we will look at the whole AND the parts.) These dimensions connect with and energize each other, both within an individual and AMONG individuals.

Agile + Aligned Approach

Instead of focusing on a marathon, I like to look at sprints. In the software world they use an Agile approach to launch, learn quick, and iterate. So why don't we do the same as we launch "Me 2.0" and beyond? As for the "aligned" part of this approach, before acting, we want to be sure our actions are aligned -- be that with our core values & purpose, or aligned with our present mini-goals or overarching goals. When considering "work life" all parties should be committed to a growth-oriented relationship. That is to say, the org supports its employees in becoming the next best versions of themselves, and the employees support the org in becoming its next best self via continual improvement.
